Hello - NEED HELP

We purchased "Calendar Creator" about a week ago. We want to be able to use it for our payroll every year. We need the program to be able to do the following: Repeat automatically every year without having to type in days/date manually each year. Be able to put words (Ex: Payroll #1), at the top of each day/cell rather than the center. Also, to be able to shade each week (Ex: Jan 1 - Jan 15), to be shaded darker than the rest of the calendar, rather than the whole month. Can all these options be done? Is this software able to do this? We've been playing with this software for over three days now and it doesn't seem like what I mentioned above are options we can do with this software program? We have v1.0. If this is not possible with this version, do you have an updated version that CAN do this and which version would that be? Also, if a newer version is able to do the options we are looking for, can we just pay the difference for the upgraded one?

Thank you,

Calendar events can be created. As far as shading goes, you mean a darker color scheme for the days? Only the whole calendar can have a background color and you must specify those colors when creating the initial calendar from scratch, there is no way that I know of to make individual weeks on a calendar different colors.

There is a workaround however. If you have a Calendar Event on a day, you can make the color a solid background but you have to double click on the event, choose fill and then use a solid color. (Don't use transparency click the button to uncheck if you must.)

As far as the words at the top of each day goes... You could create an event on those days and rename it from "New Event" to Payroll. That's what I noticed on my copy of the program

One example here:

Another example I made from playing around with the program :)

If you see anything you like in here let me know what part of the calendar it is and how I did it.

Jason, I think the question is how to align events to the top of the cell. The default is center, so if only one event appears, it appears in the center, but we want it at the top.

We need the program to be able to do the following: Repeat automatically every year without having to type in days/date manually each year.

In the Add Event dialog box, there is a Repeat function. Click the drop down arrow and select the repeat option you want. Complete the fill-in fields below.

Can you add a colored shape, then stretch it to cover the week(s) in question, then arrange the shape to the back so it doesn't cover up your text.

I apologize - I do not have this program - but I have familiarity with other Storyrock powered programs, so I hope my suggestions help.

I took this screen snip from the online CC video tutorial. This interface looks a lot like the one in my PrintMaster program (also powered by Storyrock), so I'm 99% certain, this is how to add a colored shape and position it to the back.

Here's how a colored rectangle moved to the back should look. Drag the sides to size/position the rectangle over several cells. You will probably need more than one rectangle.
