Visual C++ Runtime Error When attempting to open a program, a Visual C++ Runtime Error occurs. This issue occurs when Microsoft® .NET Framework 1.1 is not installed or the Microsoft® .NET Framework 1.1 has become corrupt. Reinstalling Microsoft® .NET Framework 1.1 will resolve this issue. View the remainder of this technical note for the instructions. Uninstall Microsoft® .NET Framework 1. Close programs and windows and return to the desktop. 2. Click the Start button and choose Control Panel. The Control Panel will open. 3. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs on Windows XP (Programs and Features on Windows Vista & Windows 7). The list of installed programs will open. 4. If Microsoft® .NET Framework 1.0 is in the list of installed programs, click on Microsoft® .NET Framework 1.0. Select Uninstall. 5. If Microsoft® .NET Framework 1.1 is in the list of installed programs, click on Microsoft® .NET Framework 1.1. Select Uninstall. 6. If Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (hotfix) is also in the list of installed programs, click on Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (hotfix). Select Uninstall. NOTE: Since Calendar Creator uses only .NET Framework 1.1, no other version of .NET Framework should be uninstalled. 7. If asked whether to delete shared files, click on No to All. 8. After uninstallation is complete, close all open windows and return to the desktop. Microsoft® .NET Framework is now removed from the system. Reinstall Microsoft® .NET Framework 1. Go to this web site Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 then download and install .NET Framework 1.1 SP 1. NOTE: If the issue is not resolved, corrupted program files can cause this issue. To fix that problem, click on this link Computer Cleanup on WinXP, WinVista & Win7 then follow the instructions in that FAQ.
