PrintMaster v4.x Compatibility with newer versions - 5/18/2011 8:21:47 AM    RWS44   Posts: 1 Joined: 5/18/2011 Status: offline I have many projects saved using PrintMaster v4.xx which will not run under Windows 7. PrintMaster 2011 does run under Windows 7 but will not open files from v4.xx. How do I use my files running Windows 7? Is PrintMaster 18.1 the program I need? RE: PrintMaster v4.x Compatibility with newer versions - 5/18/2011 10:26:06 AM    Brandy redux Posts: 2376 Joined: 2/7/2007 Status: offline Hi RWS44, As can be seen here http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=37111 all versions of PrintMaster earlier than version 7 were released by either Kyocera, MicroLogic, Mindscape or The Learning Company. What that means is that your version 4 is not an actual Broderbund product. So, the file format for those your version 4 *might* not be compatible with the file format for any newer Broderbund version of PrintMaster. As to where you said this: "Is there some kind of conversion program to convert my files so that PrintMaster 2011 can open them?" There is, I'm afraid, no conversion program which will allow your PrintMaster v4.x files to be compatible with any newer Broderbund version of PrintMaster. And, it is very important to keep in mind that PrintMaster 2011 is not a true upgrade of any previous version of PrintMaster. Instead, PrintMaster 2011 is a completely redesigned and rewritten product which works in an entirely different manner than all earlier versions of PrintMaster.
