Used print shop for years.....thought Id update and now Im frustrated as all get out!

I have a text box and I want to outline with a SHAPE (Ie Oval or rectangle) I SEE the outline box....but it is greyed out and will not let me click on it.
I have looked Everywhere but where I am supposed to look I guess!
Im doing brochures I need for tomorrow. Any and All help appreciated.

With the text box selected (handles show around it), click the Border icon (looks like a star and is located near the top right). A drop down appears where you can choose your outline color and thickness.

Additionally, you can choose a shape, fill it with transparency or color, then type inside and the words will fit inside the shape. Again, you change the border edge color and thickness with the Border icon.

The "outline" feature allows manipulation of the shape's curves, but the tool tip mistakenly mentions color and thickness. (it got me, too)
