So if you open a previous project and work on it, after a few minutes the program will auto-save a copy - it doesn't overwrite the original - but later when you save with a new name, you'll find you have this extra project file which looks like your newest file, but has a name similar to your original file. Try doing a save as immediately after opening an old file, so the old file name won't get "re-used". (in reply to Crapbund) Post #: 2

RE: Files and names - 5/3/2016 6:44:24 PM    ellengard Posts: 3253 Joined: 10/2/2006 Status: offline I don't remember this happening before, but I just did a test and the program OVERWROTE my original file with my changes, even though I specifically did not do a manual save command. So basically, it's really important to do a save as immediately, in case you change your mind and don't like any of your new edits. It's the only way to not overwrite your original file. The first thing that comes up is the ability to autosave. You can disable this if you like so you're in control of the save behavior.
