Re-sizing Object - 3/9/2016 1:17:44 AM

I've upgraded to a new computer with Windows 10 and purchased Print Shop 4.0 Processional, an upgrade from Print Shop 23.
I placed an object in my project and started looking around for the re-sizing tool. I need my object to be exactly 4" x 4". I have look everywhere, I can't find a re-sizing tool of any kind. All I can do is drag the outside edge of the object to re-size it. Who know's what size that will be.

HELP

Did I just waist $100.
I use Print Shop as a tool not just to make fluff projects.
My objects need to be a precise size and placed in a precise location.

HELP

This would be in the image editor. You need to import your photos first. Then click on Actions and Edit a Copy.

Click the positioning button and the Resize button appears to the left.

Unfortunately, the Image Editor's resizing is nearly useless as we can't specify useful units of measurement such as inches.

As far as I can tell, the closest I can come to precise sizing and positioning, is to add guidelines, zoom in, and drag things within my guidelines.

The Resize button will tell me the original resolution of the image which only lets me know if the image is high enough resolution to enlarge without pixelation. It does not allow us to set the print size of the image to a specific size such as 5.28" x 5.28", if that is what I needed. However, I can add guidelines at 5.28 vertical and horizontal which is my workaround, though somewhat tedious.

Thanks for your your replays. I had found the Image Editor with the Re-size feature. Sadly, it does not re-size by inches only by pixels. If you have ever used the re-size or position tools in PS 23, I think you would agree, 2 important functions are GONE.

I am so disappointed with Print Shop 4.0 Professional. It's an expansive fluff program for end-users that only want cutesy projects with minimal accuracy and precision.

Does anyone know of a desktop publishing program that can bridges the gap between fluff and Adobe.

This program has a Transform feature where you type in the exact dimensions, to size your object precisely. I have been using it on Win7. I don't know about Win10 compatibility.

There are sales on the site so watch out for them or get sales promo codes emailed to you.

To say that I or anyone else can only make cutesy, clumsy looking projects with this program would be wrong. I design professional brochures, flyers, business cards, etc. As a professional desktop publisher, I use many programs and would never limit myself to just one. Print Shop is just one of my tools.

Here's an example where I use Print Shop to create JPGs for professional 4x6 printing:

I'm sorry that you encountered the exact same problem that I did. I need my images to be exactly 3" x 3". I foolishly paid for 3.5 when it came out only to find that it didn't perform that basic function that 23.1 did. I'm back, a year later, because I have lost access to 23.1 in a computer upgrade and I wanted to check to see if that function had been restored in 4.0. Guess it's time to either switch programs or find a 23.1 download disc.
