Hi icepurple, While it is true that projects which were created in PrintMaster 17 cannot be opened in PrintMaster 2012, it is clearly stated on the PrintMaster 2012 web site at broderbund.com that "*Only projects made in PrintMaster 2012, PrintMaster 2011 and PrintMaster 2.0 can be opened in PrintMaster 2012". And, that is because PrintMaster 2012 is not a true upgrade of the earlier versions of PrintMaster. If you purchased PrintMaster 2012 within the last 30 days, please do keep in mind that you are eligible for a refund - even after the software has been opened and installed. Please click on the link below http://support.encore.com/customerservice/refunds.aspx to check out the Refund Policy. And, if you will click on the link below http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=37938 you will see that PrintMaster 17 can be successfully installed on even a 64-bit version of Windows 7. Or, if you prefer, you could purchase PrintMaster 18 here http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=PrintMaster&x=0&y=0#/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=PrintMaster+18&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3APrintMaster+18 or PrintMaster 18.1 here http://www.broderbund.com/c-32-printmaster.aspx And, if you will click on the link below http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=37889 you will see that it is also possible to install both PrintMaster 18 and PrintMaster 18.1 on even a 64-bit version of Windows 7.
