My entire project always seems to print blurry. Any suggestions?

All raster images in this program print blurry i.e. photos, headlines. Regular text and vector graphics print sharp. However, if an effect, such as shadow or border, is added, then the text and vector graphic are rasterized and will print blurry.

See this post. http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=45239

This butterfly vector clipart from PS3.0 prints beautifully sharp, no matter how large you make it. Adding a shadow rasterizes it. PS3.0 prints all raster images blurry. Depending on the printer quality setting (i.e. to reduce ink usage) this blurriness may not be very noticeable.

As a workaround, I would place the vector butterfly on top of the shadowed butterfly.
