Unfortunately, version 3.0 cannot open projects made in version 15. If you still have your old computer with version 15 installed, you can export most of your projects as JPG. JPG files can be imported into 3.0. However, JPG is a flat file - you will not be able to edit parts of it, (esp. text). Remove text before you export as JPG. You can add new text in 3.0.

do I need to open them in an intermediate level program like 21, 22, 23 first? then save & open in 3.0? I don't want to loose everything

You could open version 15 projects in version 23 and resave as a version 23 project. Most version 23 projects open in version 3.0, but some special effects will not convert, esp. transparency.
