Cannot run the game without the CD - 3/2/2009 7:51:35 PM    Steve Rogers   Posts: 1 Joined: 3/2/2009 Status: offline How do I add the games to my hasrd drive. As of now the games can not open unless the cd is in the cd drive. I realize this is an older version, but I still want to add it on to my hard drive which uses Vista. RE: Cannot run the game without the CD - 3/2/2009 8:07:42 PM    Brandy redux Posts: 2376 Joined: 2/7/2007 Status: offline Hi Steve, According to the Encore Knowledgebase for Hoyle Card Games 2005 In order to enable animations and many of the sounds, the game CD will need to be in the drive before the game is started. So, that would have to mean that it should be possible to open and run the game without the CD in the drive. But, the animations and many of the sounds will not work if the CD is not in the drive. So, it might be necessary to disable both the Animations and the Sound Effects before you try to run the game without the CD in the drive.
