Director Player Error - 1/23/2005 9:01:58 AM    catburt58   Posts: 1 Joined: 1/23/2005 Status: offline I installed Critical thinking and it worked the first time. Now, it will not. I get a box pop up stating DIRECTOR PLAYER ERROR------ the file D:\invent\open.dr is not a director file. What is the problem here? Please help. RE: critical thinking Won't work - 2/6/2005 5:34:50 PM    Camax Posts: 6 Joined: 8/9/2004 From: Ocean Shores, WA Status: offline Problem Script Error Handler not defined or Macromedia Director Player Error Solution Try changing the color settings in display settings to High colors 16 bit For Windows 2000/XP - Right click on desktop (not on an icon) - Select properties - Select the settings tab - Change colors to High Color (16 bit) (pulldown button above the rainbow) - Move the screen area (Screen Resolution on WinXP) slider bar util it reads 800 X 600 - Click on the OK button - Try program again For Windows 98 and Windows ME - Right click on desktop (not on an icon) - Select properties - Select the settings tab - Change colors to High Color (16 bit) (pulldown button above the rainbow) - Move the screen area slider bar util it reads 800 X 600 - Click on the OK button - Try program again For Windows 95 1.> Click on START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL. 2.> Click on DISPLAY 3.> Click on SETTINGS on the top right 4.> You will need to change the Display area to 800 x 600 High colors 16 bit 5.> Click Apply 6.> Click OK 7.> Now you can install and run the Program < Message edited by Brandy redux -- 12/7/2009 1:01:19 AM > (in reply to catburt58) Post #: 2
