32-bit version of Windows 7:

When a ‘clean’ install is done of Calendar CC 7, 8, 9, 10, CC 12, CC 12.1, CC Platinum or CC Ultimate Organizer, exactly as described in this FAQ

'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7

Calendar Creator will install on a 32-bit version of Windows 7, with three incidents.

1. The "Program Compatibility Assistant” in Windows 7 *might* display a message which says, "This program has known compatibility issues". To continue with the installation, select "Run Program".

2. At the end of the installation, a message *might* be displayed which says, “Windows can’t install the the Amyuni Document Converter 2.10”. The Amyuni Document Converter is the Broderbund PDF Converter. Since, this problem cannot be fixed, it will not be possible to use the 'Save As PDF' option.

Attempts to use the Save As PDF option will cause one or all of the following messages to be displayed:

"Error opening HKLM with ALL ACCESS - setting up the registry!"

"This feature is not installed. Would you like to install it now?"

“Unable to initialize the PDF printer driver. Try re-installing.”

Attempts to install the Broderbund PDF Converter will fail - because Broderbund PDF Converter 2.10d, which is included with Calendar Creator, is not compatible with Windows 7.

The only way to create PDF documents with Calendar Creator on Windows 7 would be to download and install an alternate PDF converter, as is described in this pinned item

Save as PDF vs File | Print to PDF

3. As can be seen in this pinned item

"art gallery failed" error message

Calendar Creator must be installed BEFORE any version of Print Shop which is bundled with an Express version of Calendar Creator.

NOTE: This does not apply to Print Shop 2.0 or 3.0.

When Print Shop is installed before Calendar Creator, it is not possible to access the Art Gallery which is installed with Calendar Creator. So, if you have Print Shop installed on your Windows 7, you will need to uninstall it before installing Calendar Creator.

64-bit version of Windows 7:

When a ‘clean’ install is done of Calendar CC 7, 8, 9, 10, CC 12, CC 12.1, CC Platinum or CC Ultimate Organizer, exactly as described in this FAQ

'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7

Calendar Creator will install on a 64-bit version of Windows 7, with the same three incidents mentioned above for 32-bit versions of Windows 7.

NOTE: Since the registration process for versions of Calendar Creator older than CC 9 was originally handled by web sites other than broderbund.com which are no longer valid web sites, those earlier versions of Calendar Creator cannot be registered. However, all features of all older versions of Calendar Creator can be accessed without the need to register any of those products.
