Changing fonts - 10/22/2011 6:06:15 PM    jespie@xtra.co.nz   Posts: 1 Joined: 10/22/2011 Status: offline I am running PrintMaster 2011 Platinum on an iMac under OS X 10.5.8 but am having difficulty with changing fonts e.g if I create say a greeting card and then a text box and then type in a message, I am unable to change the font by using the font drop down menu on the left-hand side of the window. All I get is either a meaningless set of numbers or gibberish or virtually no change depending on which font I choose. Can someone suggest how to overcome this deficiency? James Post #: 1

RE: Changing fonts - 10/22/2011 8:45:40 PM    Brandy redux Posts: 2376 Joined: 2/7/2007 Status: offline Hi James, On my Mac 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, I am able to change the fonts by either clicking once on the text box, then selecting a font, or clicking and dragging to select all of the text, then selecting a font. Since the Minimum System Requirements for PrintMaster 2011 Platinum state that the program is compatible with Macintosh® OS X 10.4.8 or greater¹ (with the latest Java™ update), your OS X 10.5.8 should be compatible. So, I can think of only 2 possible explanations for your problem: 1. Since I see that your email address has a New Zealand domain name, I feel it is important to point out that all Broderbund/Encore products are designed to be used in English only. And, it is a known fact that many problems can occur when a language other than English is not the first choice in Language Preferences. So, you might want to check your Language Preferences - to see if English is at the top of the list. 2. You might not have the latest Java update OR the most current video card driver installed on your computer.
