I have been over this with tech support and they had me clear the temp files and then send them a file to try to change the font They say they could change the font their end. I can't. It is stuck on Segue UI and when I try to get the other available font choices to show it locks up and says "not responding" No matter how many times I try to start fresh I get the same problem

I am running Windows 10 and just bought this Print Shop Professional 4.0. April 24th 2017. I updated it immediately to the 4.0.1 when prompted and have still not been able to complete an project.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Are you working with plain text, or are you working with headlines? I've not seen that happen. If this behavior is occurring, it is most likely a corrupt installation. I am going to send you an email through the forums "Email" system to follow up with additional information and see where things stand with your support request.

Hi Jason,
I am trying with plain text in the text box setting. I haven't even gotten past this to try headlines. I have the CD for install. I installed it and thought that was the problem, so I uninstalled it and used my coupon key to try downloading directly from the website. I am still having the same problem. :(
This is the email I got most recently:

Hi Jason,
Yes, I just got the emails. I tried and unfortunately the program is still freezing up. So I tried to do headlines.....and that to triggered a "Print Shop is Not Responding" and the option to wait or to close it. :( I waited and when it unlocked I tried once again to change fonts and it locked up again. I'm bummed. I was hoping it would work.

As a last resort, run the disk cleanup tool in Windows 10. To do this, in the search box, type in Disk Cleanup in the search box. When you have started the disk cleanup, click on Clean Up System Files. Make sure every box is checked and let it do its thing.

You may have a font caching issue on your computer, easily solved by computer maintenance on the disk cleanup app.

I did get that update.....but it didn't fix the problem. I just did it yesterday . :)

You may have a corrupted installation. This can happen when anti-virus programs are running during the install process. Anti-virus and firewalls can also corrupt downloaded programs.

What I always do is to disable my anti-virus only during the download and the installation. Hope that will work for you, if you want to try uninstalling and starting over.

Okay. Could you try one last thing for me? Would you be willing to leave you computer alone for 5 to 6 minutes and see if it unfreezes?

I have done this before. I will try again, though. When I did before it would unlock after a period of time, but relock up when I tried again to change fonts.
I will sure give it another try though. :) Thanks

Sorry for the delay. Busy weekend! No....It is still locking up and I am still unable to change fonts. :( I uninstalled and tried reinstalling with my antivirus, firewalls, etc all turned off, like ellengard suggested. I am at a loss.

No worries, glad you replied back to this thread.

Could you please tell me how many fonts you have installed on your computer? If you type in Fonts in the search box at the bottom, it will say "Fonts" Control panel as a search suggestion. In that window that contains the fonts, at the bottom should tell you how many fonts are installed on the machine.

Hi, so I am still not able to change fonts. I see that this person had the same problem with TPS 2.0 http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=41821 Is there a configuration file for 4.0 maybe?
