Due to the way Windows 10 handles the upgrade moving your files using the "Upgrade Keep Your Files" method, you may find that your Print Shop 23.1 Deluxe program may not work anymore.

Unfortunately, since this program was made before Windows 8.1 / Windows 10 it may not function at all or have compatibility issues.

To have the best chance of running The Print Shop 23.1 on Windows 10, please do the following before upgrading to Windows 10.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WINDOWS 7 USERS: Please backup your projects you have saved on the hard drive to a rewritable CD/DVD, External Hard Drive or USB Flash Drive.

Click Start / Control Panel, and then look for "Programs" and click on Uninstall Program. Remove the .NET Framework 1.1 from the Control Panel.

After you remove the .NET Framework 1.1 from the Control Panel, Remove the Print Shop 23.1 from the Control Panel.

Once all of these are removed, it is safe to perform the upgrade. Once the upgrade has completed, Print Shop 23.1 should install.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WINDOWS 8.1 USERS: Please make sure your files are backed up in the documents folder as stated above. Some users have been able to get 23.1 to work. If you are one of these people who have it currently running do the following:

Move your mouse pointer to the white Windows start button at the bottom left hand of the screen. Right click it and select Programs and Features. Remove the Print Shop 23.1 first, and then remove the .NET Framework 1.1 from your system. Perform the upgrade. Once the upgrade has completed, you should be able to reinstall the NET Framework 1.1

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Keep in mind that since the program is old, it may complain about an error on not being able to install the .NET Framework 1.1

We have options you can use in the following post: http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=47856

This process can take quite some time, but if done correctly, it may allow the program to install.

If it does not work, unfortunately your only option is to upgrade to the Print Shop 3.5

Please call our Customer Service department at 1-800-395-0277 to discuss Print Shop 3.5 options.

Remember, all of your projects previously created in The Print Shop 23.1 can be opened in Print Shop 3.5
