Is anyone having luck with the new patch?
I was able to use the program once without it crashing.
Now I get a message before the program starts asking if I want to allow a program from an unknown publisher to make changes on my computer, and then, once the program opens, as soon as I select a blank project, the program crashes.
Any suggestions?

Hi rcany,

Since those of us who help on this forum are volunteers only, who are neither employed by nor connected with either Customer Service or Technical Support, we do not have access to technical information which would help us to help users with problems with the patch.

For that reason, Technical Support has requested that we advise any user who experiences problems with the patch to submit a question to Technical Support, as is described in this FAQ

As to where you said this:

"Now I get a message before the program starts asking if I want to allow a program from an unknown publisher to make changes on my computer,"

That message is displayed by the User Account Control for your Windows Operating System - NOT by Print Shop 3.0.

User Account Control (UAC) is a feature in Vista and Window 7 that can help prevent unauthorized changes to your computer. UAC does this by asking you for permission or an administrator‌ password before performing actions that could potentially affect your computer's operation or that change settings that affect other users. When you see a UAC message, read it carefully, and then make sure the name of the action or program that's about to start is one that you intended to start.

If the program has an unknown publisher, it doesn't have a valid digital signature from its publisher. This doesn't necessarily mean the program is harmful—many legitimate programs lack signatures. However, you should use extra caution and allow a program to run only if you obtained it from a trusted source, such as the original CD or a publisher's website. If you’re unsure, look up the name of the program on the Internet to determine if it’s a known program or malicious software.
