Hi,
I just purchased Print Shop 3.0 deluxe, version 3.0.6.0 and am running it on a computer with Win 7 and printing to an Epson printer. After reading another person's question on banners I chose the 4 sheet format in landscape orientation for my banner. On the screen everything looks fine but when I go to print preview the banner is displayed in portrait orientation and the lettering in landscape. If I rotate the lettering to portrait it will only display and print the first 2 pages. This happens no matter how much I trim the wording on the banner.

Judy

Hi Judy,

As can be seen here

http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=44145&mpage=1&key=곲

it appears that banners will print correctly only with the default banner size. If a different banner size is selected, the banner will not print correctly.

And, it is also very important to keep in mind that Print Shop 3.0 is not a true upgrade of any previous version of Print Shop. Instead, Print Shop 3.0 is a completely redesigned product which works in an entirely different manner than all earlier versions of Print Shop - even Print Shop 2.0.

If you ever decide that Print Shop 3.0 does not suit your needs, you will most definitely want to keep in mind that if you purchased Print Shop 3.0 from a retail store within the last 90 days or from broderbund.com or encore.com within the last 30 days, you are eligible for a refund - even after the software has been opened and installed.

I am using the program's 4 sheet banner default. I didn't create anything new.

Hi Judy,

As to where you said this:

"I chose the 4 sheet format in landscape orientation for my banner. On the screen everything looks fine but when I go to print preview the banner is displayed in portrait orientation and the lettering in landscape. If I rotate the lettering to portrait it will only display and print the first 2 pages."

When I chose the 4 sheet format in landscape orientation for my banner, then went to Print Preview, what I saw looked like the image at the bottom of this message. However, when I printed the banner, the banner printed correctly on 4 sheets of paper.

Even though I expected the paper to be printed in landscape orientation (8.5 inches tall and 11 inches wide), the paper was actually printed in portrait orientation (11 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide) - while the lettering and graphics were correctly printed from left to right across the portrait sheet.

As is stated several times on this forum, the 3.0.6 patch has not fixed all known bugs. And, some of those bugs are related to the fact that the Print Preview does not always display the project as it will actually be printed.

If you would like to submit Feedback/Suggestions/Gripes directly to Encore or Broderbund, the recommended procedure for doing so can be found in the "How to submit Feedback/Suggestions/Gripes" FAQ by clicking on the link below

The print preview is wonky, but the banner will print fine. Here is an example of a 4 sheet banner project and a picture of the 4 printed sheets.
