ERROR 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting R... - 7/5/2007 11:59:03 AM    debianne77   Posts: 1 Joined: 7/5/2007 Status: offline I am attempting to re-install Casino 2004. I have a Dell Dimension 8400 with Windows XP SP2. When the Install Shield wizard begins, I receive this error message: "1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime". (I have re-booted my computer and tried again.) This CD had previously been installed on the same computer, prior to a crash a year ago. The same CD is currently installed on an older e-Machines T-2080 with no problem. What does the error mean, and what can I do about it? RE: Error -1607: Unable to Install InstallShield Script... - 7/5/2007 1:28:31 PM    Brandy redux Posts: 2376 Joined: 2/7/2007 Status: offline Hi Debi, The "Error 1607 - Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Run Time" error message is a system-specific error message which is generated by InstallShield® and can be caused by a variety of settings. Here's a link to a FAQ 1607:Unable to install InstallShield Scripting runtime which describes how to deal with that problem.
