Printing a Banner - 1/8/2012 7:36:03 AM    Gail Babic   Posts: 1 Joined: 1/8/2012 Status: offline I just purchased the Printshop Deluxe 3.0 yesterday. I have an HP 64 bit, Windows 7, laptop. I used the Printshop Deluxe, version 15 for many years and loved it. It was easy to use and wonderful! As a teacher, I used it to make numerous posters and banners for my classroom. This new version is not as user friendly and there is something askew in the banner making option. It will not layout over several sheets of paper as did the old Printshop version and it will not print. I would appreciate any help that anyone can offer. If I can't get it sorted by the end of today (I've already spent most of yesterday and half of today) then I'm returning this tomorrow. Post #: 1

RE: Printing a Banner - 1/8/2012 11:45:26 AM    Brandy redux Posts: 2376 Joined: 2/7/2007 Status: offline Hi Gail, I have discovered that many banners in Print Shop 3.0 are set up as 4 sheet banners - meaning that the banner will print 8.5" vertically, spread out on 4 sheets of paper. And, when the banner is printed at the default 4-Sheet Banner setting, the banner will print correctly. However, if one of the other banner sizes is selected - 4' x 1', 8' x 2', 6' x 3' - the banner will not print correctly. So, it would appear that you have discovered another bug. As I mentioned in reply to your other post, the patch for Print Shop (3.0.5) can be acquired only by clicking on the link below http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=24071 then requesting the patch from Customer Service. Unfortunately, however, the 3.0.5 patch does not fix all of the bugs. And, it is very important to keep in mind that Print Shop 3.0 is not a true upgrade of any previous version of Print Shop. Instead, Print Shop 3.0 is a completely redesigned product which works in an entirely different manner than all earlier versions of Print Shop - even Print Shop 2.0. If you ever decide that Print Shop 3.0 does not suit your needs, you will most definitely want to keep in mind that if you purchased Print Shop 3.0 from a retail store within the last 90 days or from broderbund.com or encore.com within the last 30 days, you are eligible for a refund - even after the software has been opened and installed. If a different banner size is selected, the banner will not print correctly.
