I am trying to make a yearly calendar that starts on January 1, 2013 and ends on December 31, 2013. When I open a new calendar it automatically starts in August 2012. I used the arrow to move to January 2013. When I change the view from monthly to yearly it brings up a yearly calendar that goes from August 2012 to July 2013. If I use the arrow again it changes the calendar to August 2013 to July 2014. How do I make a yearly calendar that runs from January 2013 to December 2013? I have tried changing start date etc... but nothing seems to work.

Hi Brenda,

After you select the Year view, you would do this:

1. If your project is displayed with more than one page, scroll to the left - to the first page of the Year view.

2. Right click on the events in the center of the first page of the Year view (DO NOT right click on the small calendars), then select 'Properties' from the menu that drops down.

3. When the 'Layout Object Properties' window opens, click on the 'Miscellaneous' tab.

4. On the Miscellaneous tab, change the date in the 'Start Date: month/year' box.

5. Make sure the desired number of months is selected in the 'Number of Months' box.

6. Click on the 'OK' button to return to the workspace.

Hi Brandy,

I followed your instructions and everything was going well until I got to the 'Layout Object Properties' window. Next step said to click on the 'Miscellaneous' tab. I only have a 'style' tab and a 'picture' tab, there is no 'miscellaneous' tab. I am using Calendar Creator Deluxe v12.1. Thanks for your quick response and for any other help you can give me.

Brenda

Hi Brenda,

The reason why you are experiencing that problem is because you haven't added any events to your calendar. The Year view cannot be used as designed until at least one event is added to the calendar. And, since events are normally added to Calendar Creator projects by double-clicking on a specific date - which cannot be done in a Year view - it is usually much easier to add the events to a Calendar Creator project while a Month view is selected.
