I am trying to install the version 3.0.5 update for The Print Shop 3.0 Deluxe and keep getting this error message:

Error 2709. The specified Component name ('_56E0E0E058F5DA1D6EDAD6D08E6EC5FC') not found in Component table.


Current software version is 3.0.3.0, on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1 with all Windows updates. 2GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, DSL internet connection.

I have uninstall/reinstalled version 3.0.3.0 several times, and also re-downloaded the 305_DLX_Update.exe file several times, as instructed by http://support.encore.com/technicalsupport/kb.aspx?kb_id=1555&product_id=2826.

What could be causing the error, and how can I fix it? Also, is there any way to download a clean install of version 3.0.5, instead of trying to update the old version?

Hi khigh,

Aww, too bad. Already tried that and got no satisfaction. Well, we'll have another go at the Tech Support people on Monday. Thanks for being available on Saturday, Brandy redux.
