I just received this in the mail. There is no indication on it as to what version it is. The title is The Print Shop with Creativity Collection 2. I cannot get it to do anything I want. It won't recognize the Avery products even though it lists them. I don't know which page I am putting what on. I had a previous version of print shop and loved it. This one does none of the things I liked about my old program. What is this!?

This sounds like you purchased a bundle at a special price? i.e. The Print Shop desktop publishing program and the Creativity Collection 2 of graphics. I will be able to answer your questions if I knew more. What is the description on your purchase order? Did you order from Encore? Amazon? Do you have a link to the webpage where you ordered this?

Hmmm, I'm thinking you are trying to use the Creativity Collection as if it is the desktop publishing program. The Creativity Collection is just that - about 3.5 GB of graphics. The graphics are organized into folders. These graphics can be used in your old Print Shop program, or any graphics program (e.g. Photo Shop Elements, PrintMaster, Microsoft Publisher), as easily as you import your own photos to be used in your programs.

Once you install your new Print Shop program, you will find that you can make all the same types of projects as your old program. Greeting cards, newsletters, business cards, labels, etc.

Hi Ellen, It was ordered from the Broderbund site under Mac Software. My receipt says it is their official software site. I have not opened the creative package because it is a large file and I do not really use them anyway. My previous program was Printshop version 2 and it could do way more than this one. I am having trouble even opening a template to populate. It does not tell me which page is which and I am printing stuff upside down. It lists Avery and even the one I am trying to make which is two single fold cards from an 8 1/2 x 11 page. All I get is a postcard option.

Darn, I don't know anything about the Mac version of Print Shop. Here is a link to that program's forum:
http://forums.encoreusa.com/tt.asp?forumid=336&p=&tmode=1&smode=1

Check out the thread with links to the Mac user guide and mac tutorials
http://forums.encoreusa.com/tm.asp?m=50153

If your program is not working like it shows in the videos, you may have a corrupt installation. Please post your Print Shop Mac questions in that forum and hopefully someone who has a Mac, can answer specific questions on how to use that program.
