When inserting and adjusting a photo, is there a way to lock the aspect ratio so that the picture doesn't get stretched and distorted while dragging the corner to change it's size? The little "picture adjustment" window that pops up allows you to do everything but that, it seems, and I can't find any other way to do it. It's nearly impossible to drag the corner at a perfect 45 degree angle to keep it from distorting. This was never a problem in the older version I used to use.

Usually, in other photo software I've used, when you drag the corner it automatically maintains the correct ratio, and if you want to stretch the image, you would simply drag one side at a time. I'm perplexed as to why such a simple and important feature would be overlooked.

I've also noticed that in order to get to the "undo" button on the toolbar, you keep having to click the Home tab, because every time you do something to adjust an object, the tool bar jumps to a different tab for that particular object. This is Extremely poor software design. There needs to be a separate toolbar for commonly used tools that is always available no mater what object tab you're on, as well as adding a few more to the "right click" menu for any given object you have inserted on the page.

Holding down the shift key will preserve the aspect ratio of the photo when adjusting the size of your photo so it does not look stretched, etc.

Control Z on the keyboard is your undo shortcut without having to jump through the hoops of other tabs.

Make a note of the short cut keys you would use the most. The program tells you what they are whenever a command is done "the long way".

Typical Windows short cuts work in the Print Shop such as Ctri-c to copy and Ctrl-v to paste.

Keyboard commands are great for some things but not when all that's needed is a more intuitive point and click interface. Why is it not easier to just put an undo button where you can always see it? How about a simple customizable toolbar where you can put the things I use all the time? Or why not just add separate grab point to the photo box that maintains aspect ratio all by itself?

Sorry, ellengard. I meant to reply to Jason's message, but I hit the wrong "reply" button and there's no way to delete it once it's posted, apparently.

That's a good suggestion. Jason gives this kind of feedback to the developers.

No problem.
